We’re Here When You Need Us

A grinder polishes. A scarifier cuts. When you need to take off a coating, remove a trip hazard, level a high spot at a door threshold, or open up a slick slab so a new coating will actually bond to it, a scarifier's tungsten carbide cutters hammer into the surface and break it away — fast, and with a deliberately rough profile that adhesives grip.

The BTSP10H cuts a 200 mm (7.9 in.) path at up to 1.6 mm (0.063 in.) per pass, on a Honda GX160. Cutter height is set by a fingertip control, so the operator can feather the depth into an existing surface instead of gouging a step at the start of the cut.

The detail that matters on a machine like this is where the vacuum outlet sits. Beton Trowel put it low, right down at the cutters — which is where the dust actually is. Extraction pulled from the top of a housing collects a fraction of what a low port does, and concrete dust is a silica exposure question, not just a housekeeping one. Tungsten carbide cutters are fitted as standard, not an upgrade.

Please read this before you order. This machine is listed by our own distributor, and by others, as a "10 in." scarifier. It is not. Beton Trowel publishes a cutting width of 200 mm, which is 7.9 in., and their spec sheet, their product page and two independent dealers all agree. The "10" appears to have been read off the model name. We would rather lose the sale than have you order a 10 in. machine and unpack a 7.9 in. one — if your job needs a genuine 10 in. path, tell us and we will find you the right machine.

Two smaller notes: Beton Trowel's own product page prints "Honda GX160, 5.5kW" — a GX160 is 5.5 HP, about 4.1 kW, and their spec sheet confirms HP. Cutter count, vacuum port diameter, fuel tank capacity and crated shipping weight are not published by Beton Trowel, and we will not invent them. Ask and we will put the questions to the factory.

What's Included

  • BTSP10H concrete scarifier
  • Honda GX160 engine, factory installed
  • Tungsten carbide cutter drum, fitted
  • Operating and safety manual

A dust extractor is not included. The vacuum outlet is there to be connected to one, and on interior or occupied-building work you will want one — ask and we will quote a suitable unit alongside the machine.

Ordering more than one machine? Put them on a single freight quote — one truck is materially cheaper than two.

Documents

Operation Video

Beton Trowel's own footage of this exact model. They also publish operation and drum-replacement videos for the smaller BTSP8H — useful if you want to see how the cutter drum comes apart, but that is the 8 in. machine, not this one.

Shipping

This machine ships by freight, on a pallet. Beton Trowel does not publish a crated weight for it, so rather than guess at a parcel rate we quote it to your exact address and confirm with you before anything is charged. Tell us on the quote form whether the delivery site has a forklift or a loading dock, because that changes the rate more than the distance does.
