We’re Here When You Need Us

A walk-behind flat saw is bought on two numbers: how deep it cuts, and how long the blade shaft lasts. The BTCS501 takes an 18 in. blade and cuts 185 mm — 7.3 in. — deep, which covers full-depth sawing on most slabs, joint cutting, asphalt patching and demolition layout in one machine.

The blade shaft is sealed and rated for 200 maintenance-free hours. That is the part of the spec sheet worth reading twice: on most saws in this class the shaft bearings need greasing daily, and the ones that get skipped are the ones that fail. Depth is set by a spring-assisted screw feed with a clear depth indicator — you dial the cut rather than fight the machine down into it, and you can repeat the same depth across a slab without guessing.

Power is a Honda GX390 at 13 HP, and there is an 18 litre (4.8 gallon) onboard water tank for wet cutting, which is what keeps the blade alive and the silica down. The engine and blade shaft are mounted to damp vibration, and the handles adjust and fold for transport.

Honest notes. Water tank: you will see 15 L quoted for this saw in at least one distributor listing. Beton Trowel's own spec sheet says 18 L, and two independent sellers agree with the factory. Dimensions: one widely-copied listing gives 70 x 25 x 40 in.; the factory says 61 x 25.8 x 47.2 in., and an independent dealer publishes the same as the factory. We use the factory's. Arbor RPM and bore are not published by Beton Trowel, and the "3,600 RPM" that appears on some listings is the Honda engine's governed speed, not blade-shaft speed — we will not pass one off as the other. Ask and we will get the arbor specification from the factory. Crated shipping weight is not published.

What's Included

  • BTCS501 walk-behind concrete saw
  • Honda GX390 engine, factory installed
  • 18 L water tank and wet-cutting feed
  • Operating and safety manual

A diamond blade is not included. Blade choice depends entirely on what you are cutting — green concrete, cured concrete, asphalt and reinforced slab all want different bonds, and the wrong blade will either glaze or wear out in an afternoon. Tell us the material and the depth when you order and we will quote the right blade with the saw.

Shipping

This machine ships by freight. Shipping is quoted to your exact address and confirmed with you before anything is charged — we do not estimate freight. Tell us on the quote form whether the delivery site has a forklift or a loading dock, because that changes the rate more than the distance does.
