Dosko 620-20HE Stump Grinder — 20 HP Honda GX630, Walk-Behind, Electric Start

The Dosko 620-20HE is a commercial walk-behind stump grinder built for crews that grind stumps every week, not every season. A 20 HP Honda GX630 electric-start engine drives a 14-inch cutter wheel through a direct belt drive, taking stumps down to 16 inches below grade and reaching 20 inches above it — enough for all but the largest removals, in a machine one operator can walk to the back yard.

Everything the operator touches is set up for a long day. The handlebar adjusts through five positions so the machine can be run comfortably by a tall operator or a short one, and the unique side-discharge frame throws chips away from the cut instead of piling them under the wheel. An oil shutdown sensor protects the engine when the machine is worked on a slope or run low, and 1.375-inch diameter bearings carry the cutter shaft.

It ships standard with Greenteeth 700 Series teeth — the three-position indexable system with a concave dish edge that shears rather than shreds. When an edge dulls, you loosen, rotate 120 degrees and tighten, and the tooth is sharp again. Each tooth gives you three cutting edges before it needs replacing, which is why tree crews and rental yards keep coming back to this system.

Battery not included. Because of shipping restrictions on batteries, electric-start units are not supplied with one. Any standard U1 lawn-and-garden battery will start the machine.
