Dosko 691SP-20HE Stump Grinder — 20 HP Honda GX630, Self-Propelled Hydrostatic

The Dosko 691SP-20HE is the self-propelled machine in the Dosko line, and the difference shows up at the end of the day rather than the start of it. A hydrostatic drive walks the grinder to the stump, around the yard and back up the ramp under its own power, so the operator is not muscling 500 pounds of steel across a lawn between cuts. On a route with six or eight stumps, that is the difference between a full crew day and a short one.

Power comes from a 20 HP Honda GX630 electric-start V-twin turning a 14-inch cutter wheel through a direct belt drive. Cutting capacity is 24 inches above grade and 18 inches below — deeper and taller than the walk-behind 620, which is what makes this the machine for removals where the stump is oversized or the customer wants the ground clear for replanting.

All-terrain tires keep the machine tracking straight on soft ground and slopes, the handlebar adjusts through five positions, and the side-discharge frame throws chips clear of the cut. Greenteeth 700 Series teeth come standard: rotate each tooth 120 degrees for a fresh edge, three edges per tooth before replacement.
