GreyWolf Till-N-Claw Chisel Plow & Cultivator — 60 In., Tow Behind, 7 Shanks

A disc smears and packs. A tiller pulverises the soil into dust that crusts over with the first rain. A chisel plow does neither — it fractures the ground vertically, breaking hardpan and letting water and roots down without destroying the structure you are trying to build. On a food plot, a pasture renovation or a garden you actually want to come back next year, that is the difference.

This is the 60 in. tow-behind version. It pulls from a drawbar on a quick-remove hitch pin — no three-point hitch required, which means an ATV, a UTV or a compact tractor can all pull it. Seven rigid 1-3/8 in. square shanks run behind seven 13.5 in. straight cutting coulters, so residue and sod get sliced before the shank reaches it instead of dragging into a plug in front of the machine.

Both tool sets are included: 9 in. field cultivator sweeps for shallow weed cutting and seedbed work, and 2 in. narrow chisel points for deep fracturing. Shanks are individually adjustable and quick-remove, so you can pull every other one for hard ground rather than fighting the whole toolbar. Side weight racks are included — the honest way to get penetration on dry ground is mass, and the racks are where you add it.

Specifications

Two things we would rather tell you than have you find out. First, working depth: the manufacturer publishes "up to 8 in." for this model, but the 43 in. machine in the same tow-behind family is published at 6 in., and both three-point models are published at 8 in. We think the 8 in. figure may have been carried over from the three-point version. If your job depends on reaching 8 in., ask us and we will confirm it with the manufacturer in writing before you order. Second, rigid shanks means rigid — there is no trip mechanism. In rocky ground that is a real consideration, and the Rock Devil on our site exists precisely because of it.

Not published by the manufacturer, and not guessed at here: shipping weight, overall width, shank and coulter spacing, frame tube size, and overall dimensions. We know how many shanks span 60 in., but we are not going to divide and publish a spacing figure as if it were a specification.

We checked their complete video library — every GreyWolf video they have ever released — and all of it is skid steer attachments; there is no tillage footage in any form. We would rather leave this empty than show you a different machine. If footage appears, it will be here.

Shipping

This implement ships by freight, on a pallet. The manufacturer does not publish a crated weight for it, so rather than guess at a rate we quote it to your exact address and confirm with you before anything is charged. Tell us on the quote form whether the delivery site has a forklift or a loading dock, because that changes the rate more than the distance does.
