Smaller ports, more head. That is the trade on a 2-inch pump and it is worth understanding before you buy: this unit tops out at 235 GPM against the 3-inch machine's 290, but it pushes to 125 feet of total head at 54 PSI — fifteen feet and six PSI more.
So if the job is lifting water a long way up or pushing it a long way out — out of a deep pit, up a bank, across a site to a drainage point — the 2-inch is the better pump even though it moves less water per minute. Narrower ports also mean lighter hose, which one person can actually drag.
It runs the same Honda GX200 as the 3-inch model, self-primes, and weighs 100 lbs.

A note on solids: published solids ratings for this model differ between sellers — we have seen both 1 in. and 1-1/4 in. quoted. If the debris size in your water is critical, ask us and we will confirm it with the manufacturer before you order rather than publish a figure we are not sure of.
