We’re Here When You Need Us
The TR 2A is a twin-head double mitre saw for furniture, frame and millwork shops cutting to length in volume. Both ends of a piece are cut in one cycle, mitred or square, so stock comes off the machine finished rather than going back for a second setup.
The left head is fixed and the right head traverses, with positive locking at 90° and 45° right and left and manual locking anywhere in between. Distance between the saws runs from 8 3/4" out to 9'2", which covers everything from short rail stock to full-length frame members. Two 3 HP motors turn 12" blades at 3,200 RPM.
The TR 2A is the 12" machine in the family. Step up to the TR 2B for 14" blades and 6 1/2" of cross cut, or the TR 2B I if you need tilting heads for compound work.
Three-phase power and compressed air required. Available in 230V or 460V three phase only — there is no single-phase version. Clamping is pneumatic, so the machine needs a compressed air supply. Select your version and voltage above before ordering; the machine is built to the voltage you choose.
Which Version
- TR 2A – the standard machine, head positioned by hand.
- TR 2A VIS – adds a digital display of the distance between saw blades, so the operator dials in a length rather than measuring it.
- TR 2A NC – adds an NC positioner that drives the head to the programmed distance automatically, and includes two horizontal pneumatic clamps not fitted to the other versions. This is the version for repetitive production.
Key Features & Benefits
- Two Heads, One Cycle – both ends cut to a set length in a single operation
- Fixed Left Head, Traversing Right Head – one reference face stays put, so length is the only variable
- Positive Locking at 90° and 45° Both Sides – with manual locking on intermediate angles
- 9'2" Maximum Between Saws – full-length frame and furniture stock in one pass
- 2 × 3 HP on 12" Blades – 3,200 RPM at both arbors
- Pneumatic Clamping and Centre Support Included – not an upsell
- Saw Blades Included – ships with blades fitted
- Built in Italy – manufactured by DIERREGI S.r.l. under the OMGA brand, sold and serviced from South Bend, Indiana
