The TR 2B is the 14" machine in OMGA's twin-head double mitre line — the same idea as the TR 2A with a bigger blade and a full inch more cross cut. Both ends of a piece are cut in one cycle, mitred or square, so stock leaves the machine finished at both ends.
The left head is fixed and the right head traverses, with positive locking at 90° and 45° right and left, and manual locking on intermediate angles. Distance between the saws runs from 13 3/16" out to 9'2". Two 3 HP motors turn 14" blades at 3,200 RPM, cutting 6 1/2" wide at 90° and 4 1/2" at 45°.
If your stock is smaller, the TR 2A does the same job on 12" blades for less money. If you need to mitre and bevel at once, the TR 2B I adds tilting heads.
Three-phase power and compressed air required. Available in 230V or 460V three phase only — there is no single-phase version. Clamping is pneumatic, so the machine needs a compressed air supply. Select your version and voltage above before ordering; the machine is built to the voltage you choose.
Which Version
- TR 2B – the standard machine, head positioned by hand.
- TR 2B VIS – adds a digital display of the distance between saw blades.
- TR 2B NC – adds an NC positioner that drives the head to the programmed distance automatically, plus two horizontal pneumatic clamps not fitted to the other versions.
