The MechMaxx SM-22 is a portable band sawmill powered by a DUCAR 224cc 7 HP recoil-start gas engine. It takes logs up to 22 in. in diameter on a 13 ft track, and the head runs on 16.5 in. cast iron bandwheels.

Power reaches the bandwheels through a centrifugal clutch and belt. The 4-post head is set with a 23-position height handle, and MechMaxx offers a track extension for longer logs.

23-Position Height Handle

The cutting-height handle locks into 23 positions, so you can set a board thickness and repeat it cut after cut.

Throttle on the Push Handle

The throttle sits on the push handle, so you control cutting speed as you walk the head down the track. An emergency stop button is on the handle.
