We’re Here When You Need Us

A plate compactor cannot get into a narrow trench, and it does not do much for cohesive soil. That is what a rammer is for. The BravePro BRPTR70H drives 4,496 pounds of impact force straight down through an 11.2 x 13.4-inch shoe, which is what actually compacts clay and silt — the soils a plate will simply ride over.

It is powered by a Honda GXR120, the engine Honda builds specifically for rammers: it keeps oil where it belongs through the constant pounding and the tipping that comes with this work. A heavy shock mount system balances the machine so the operator is guiding it rather than fighting it, and a heavy-duty air cleaner handles the dust that gets thrown up at ground level.

The usual jobs are backfill over pipe and cable runs, sub-base prep before asphalt, patio and paver bases, and anywhere the excavation is too tight for a plate. At 163 pounds it is a two-man lift into a truck bed and a one-man job on a ramp.

Key Features & Benefits

  • 4,496 lbs impact force – real compaction in cohesive and semi-cohesive soils, not just surface seating
  • Honda GXR120 – the engine built for rammer duty, 121cc, 3.6 HP
  • 11.2 x 13.4 in. shoe – fits trenches and tight excavations a plate compactor cannot enter
  • Heavy shock mount system – balanced absorption so the machine tracks instead of walking away
  • Throttle lever – smooth control of jump height and travel
  • Heavy-duty air cleaner – built for the dust at ground level
  • 1.6 – 3.4 in. jump height – adjustable to the material being compacted

Operation Video

This is Brave's 360-degree view of the BRPTR65H, the model directly below this one. It is physically the same rammer with the same 11.2 x 13.4 in. shoe and the same Honda GXR120; the difference is impact force — 3,600 lbs on the 65H against 4,496 lbs on the BRPTR70H shown on this page.

Shipping

This machine ships by LTL freight. Freight is quoted separately and confirmed with you in writing before anything is charged — we do not guess at freight costs.
