The Hydra Buddy HBHR280GXE is the electric-start version of Brave's most popular portable power pack. One turn of a key and the Honda GX270 is running — which matters more than it sounds on a cold morning, on the fifth restart of the day, or when the operator is wearing gloves and standing on a ladder.
It delivers 2,000 PSI at 5.5 GPM through an 8-gallon reservoir, the middle of the range where most hydraulic tools live: concrete saws, breakers, chain saws, pumps, impact wrenches and post drivers. The couplers are ISO 7241-1 Series A, the most common hydraulic standard in North America, so tools from different manufacturers connect without adapters.
The Hydra Buddy frame is the reason this line sells. It is a compact, tubular roll frame with lifting points built in — one person can move it with a hand truck, two can lift it into a pickup bed, and a crane can pick it by the top bar. It is a power pack designed to be relocated several times a day, not bolted down once.
