We’re Here When You Need Us
The TRF 527 is a twin-head double mitre saw built for small profiles — glass beading strip, thin mouldings, light framing stock. Two heads cut both ends of a piece in one operation, so a length comes off the machine finished at both ends rather than needing a second setup and a second measurement.
One head is fixed and the other traverses on a manual transmission, driven by a hand wheel through a toothed belt so the operator can set the distance between blades quickly and repeat it. Positive locking holds 90° and 45°. Maximum distance between the saws is 7'10", down to 6 1/4" at the short end, on 8.5" blades turning at 3,200 RPM from two 1.5 HP motors.
This is the small machine in OMGA's double mitre line. If you are cutting structural or furniture stock rather than beading, the TR 2A, TR 2B and TR 2B I take the same idea up to 6 3/4" of cross cut.
Three-phase power and compressed air required. Available in 230V or 460V three phase only — there is no single-phase version. Clamping is pneumatic, so the machine needs a compressed air supply. Select your version and voltage above before ordering; the machine is built to the voltage you choose.
Which Version
- TRF 527 – the standard machine. Distance between blades is set by hand wheel and read off the machine.
- TRF 527 VIS – adds a digital display of the distance between saw blades, so the operator dials in a length instead of eyeballing it.
- TRF 527 NC – adds an NC positioner that drives the head to the programmed distance automatically, and includes two horizontal pneumatic clamps not fitted to the other versions. This is the version for repetitive production runs.
Key Features & Benefits
- Two Heads, One Operation – both ends of a piece cut to a set length in a single cycle
- Hand Wheel and Toothed Belt Traverse – length changes are quick and repeatable, not a fight

- Built for Small Section Stock – glass beading and thin mouldings, where a big double mitre is the wrong tool
- Pneumatic Clamping Included – vertical clamps and centre support come as standard
- Saw Blades Included – the machine ships with blades fitted
- Built in Italy – manufactured by DIERREGI S.r.l. under the OMGA brand, sold and serviced from South Bend, Indiana
