The Baileigh BB-7216M-V2 is a magnetic box and pan brake with a 72 in. bend length. An electromagnet in the bed clamps the sheet under the clamp bar with 6 tons of force, and it runs on 220V single-phase power.

With the leaf extension removed it is rated for 16 ga. mild steel or 20 ga. stainless; with the extension installed the rating is 18 ga. mild steel or 21 ga. stainless. It bends from 0 to 180 degrees, box depth is unlimited, and it ships at 595 lb.

Open-Ended Magnetic Clamping

Because the clamp bar is held down magnetically rather than by a fixed frame, the ends stay open and boxes of any depth can be formed.

Segmented Clamp Bars

A set of segmented bars from 25 mm to 280 mm wide, plus narrow, notched and full-length bars, lets you build up the width each bend needs.

What power does the BB-7216M-V2 need?

220V single-phase, 60 Hz, drawing 12 A. Baileigh specifies 209 to 231 VAC on a dedicated circuit; running outside that range can damage the machine and void the warranty.

How thick can it bend?

16 ga. mild steel or 20 ga. stainless steel with the leaf extension removed. With the extension installed the rating drops to 18 ga. mild steel or 21 ga. stainless. Ratings assume 60,000 PSI mild steel and 100,000 PSI stainless.

Can it make closed boxes?

Yes. The clamp bar is held by the magnet, so the ends are open and box depth is unlimited. The brake bends from 0 to 180 degrees.
