Baileigh BS-712MS 7-Inch Swivel Head Horizontal/Vertical Band Saw with Coolant, 1 HP 120V
The BS-712MS is a gear-drive band saw with a swivel head that miters from 0 to 45 degrees while the material stays clamped in the vise. A 1 HP motor on 120V single-phase power cuts 7 in. round and 7 x 10.23 in. rectangular stock at 90 degrees.
Blade speeds are 145, 200 and 245 FPM from a 3-position gear selector, on a 3/4 x 0.035 x 92.91 in. blade. A closed hydraulic cylinder with a needle valve controls head descent; the head is returned by hand.
Swivel Head Mitering
Turning the miter lock lever unlocks the saw head so it can be set to the cut angle on the mitering scale.
Vertical Sawing
The saw bow can be locked upright for vertical cutting. The manual calls for the support bar to be in place in that position so the saw cannot tip over.

Can it cut vertically?
Yes. The manual calls for the support bar to be in place, which keeps the saw from tipping when the bow is upright.
What coolant mix should I use?
The manual calls for a 20:1 water-to-coolant solution, with the tank filled to about 80% capacity. Coolant is not included.
What is the warranty?
1 year (Baileigh); hydraulic components carry their manufacturer's warranty; included die sets, tooling and blades 45 days.
