The PL-1860 is a heavy-duty geared head engine lathe for long shafts and large-diameter work. It swings 18 in. over the bed, holds 60 in. between centers and is driven by a 7.5 HP, 220V three-phase motor.
The spindle has a 2-3/8 in. bore and runs from 30 to 2000 RPM, with a 9 in. center height. A Mitutoyo 2-axis digital readout is included.
Cast-Iron Construction
A cast-iron base and precision-ground bed ways give the lathe the rigidity needed for big workpieces.
Inch and Metric Threading
It cuts 40 inch threads from 2 to 56 TPI and 53 metric pitches from 0.4 to 14 mm, plus module and diametral pitches.
