The Baileigh SH-5203-HD-NC is a 52 in. hydraulic shear with a numerically controlled back gauge, rated for up to 1/4 in. mild steel and 7 gauge stainless steel. A 15 HP motor on 220V 3-phase power drives the hydraulics.
It cycles at 16 to 24 strokes per minute and cuts material as thin as 24 gauge. The back gauge runs on a ball screw driven by its own 1/2 HP motor, with an encoder reading its position, and the machine ships at 5,720 lb.
NC Back Gauge
Back gauge positions are entered at the NC controller, and limit switches mark the front and rear ends of travel.
Pushbutton Rake Adjustment
The rake angle is changed with increase and decrease pushbuttons, and indicator lights show the material gauge setting.

220V 3-phase 60 Hz. The 15 HP motor draws 48 A, and the manual calls for a time-delay fuse or breaker sized just above full-load current. The customer supplies the power cord.

Positions are entered at the NC back gauge controller. A 1/2 HP motor drives the gauge on a ball screw, and an encoder tracks where it is.
