Baileigh SW-501 50-Ton 5-Station Hydraulic Ironworker, 3 HP, 220V 1Ph

The SW-501 is the single-phase version of Baileigh's five-station hydraulic ironworker for punching, flat bar shearing, angle shearing, bar shearing and rectangle notching. A 3 HP motor on 220V single-phase power delivers 50 tons of punching pressure.

The punch handles 7/8 in. holes in 5/8 in. plate through a 6 in. throat, the flat bar shear cuts 10 x 3/8 in., and the angle station cuts 3 x 3 x 1/4 in. at 90 degrees. The notcher takes 2 x 3-1/2 in. notches in 0.281 in. material.

True Vertical Movement

Every station moves in a true vertical stroke, and the stroke length is adjustable for faster cycling on light work.

Seven Punch and Die Sets Included

The machine ships with 7 sets of round punches and dies, plus adapters that fit Cleveland Tool punch and die sets.

Baileigh hydraulic ironworker questions

What power does the SW-501 need?

220V, 60Hz single-phase power. The manual calls for a dedicated circuit protected by a time-delay fuse or breaker rated slightly above the machine's full-load current, connected by a certified electrician. The SW-503 is the 220V three-phase version.

What tooling comes with it?

Seven sets of round punches and dies, with adapters that accept Cleveland Tool punch and die sets. Press brake, angle bending, pipe notching and vee-notching tooling are optional.

What are the five stations?
