Baileigh WBS-37VH 37 x 60-Inch Wide Belt Sander with Vacuum Conveyor, 10 HP, 460V 3Ph

The WBS-37VH is the 460V, three-phase version of Baileigh's 37 x 60 in. wide belt sander with a vacuum hold-down conveyor, made for finishing small and thin metal parts. It pairs a 10 HP main motor with a 6 HP vacuum motor.

The vacuum table lets it handle parts as small as 2 x 2 in. and as thin as 0.016 in., up to 37 in. wide and 6 in. thick. The belt runs at 2650 FPM and the inverter-driven conveyor feeds at 2 to 26 FPM.

Vacuum Hold-Down Conveyor

A dedicated vacuum motor pulls small workpieces against the conveyor so they stay put under the sanding head. The vacuum has its own start and stop buttons on the control panel.

Automatic Height and Belt Tracking

Baileigh lists automatic sanding height adjustment with a digital readout and 10 programmable presets. Optical belt-tracking sensors and mistracking limit switches guard the abrasive belt.

Baileigh wide belt sander questions

What power does the WBS-37VH need?

460V three-phase service. The manual calls for a 40A breaker and 6 AWG minimum supply conductors, with a full-load current of 27A. No extension cords; a licensed electrician should make the connection.

What does the vacuum conveyor add?

It holds small and thin parts down during sanding, bringing the minimum part size to 2 x 2 in. and the minimum thickness to 0.016 in. The non-vacuum models need parts at least 8 in. long and 0.0625 in. thick.

Do I need a dust collector?

Yes. The manual says not to run the machine unless the 5 in. dust chute on top is connected to a properly sized dust collection system rated for metal sanding. A collector is not included.

What is the warranty?
