The Bear Cat CH911DH is the machine you buy when brush is the job, not a chore at the end of one. Nine inches of capacity, a 24.8 HP Kubota diesel, and a hydraulic feed system that pulls the limb in and regulates itself — this is the size of chipper municipalities, tree crews and rental yards specify, and it is the largest Bear Cat builds.

The rotor is what you are paying for. Thirty inches across, an inch and a quarter thick, 275 pounds of dynamically balanced steel spinning behind four reversible heat-treated blades. That mass is the flywheel effect that carries a 9-inch hardwood trunk through the anvil instead of bogging on it. The 15-inch feed roller carries ten knife blades and the DDC controller manages feed speed against engine load automatically, so the operator feeds the machine and the machine decides how fast it can take it.

Everything around the rotor is built for a working week, not a weekend: a torsion axle and a telescoping tongue for towing behind a crew truck, a hinged disc cover so blade changes do not mean disassembly, a four-sided adjustable anvil you index instead of replace, an 18-gallon diesel tank, and an 8-inch round discharge chute that throws into a truck body.
