Beton Trowel BTPC160H Reversible Plate Compactor — 16.9 In. Plate, 6,070 Lb. Force, Honda GX200

This is the mid-size reversible plate — the one that covers most of what a paving, hardscape or utility crew actually does. A forward plate has to be dragged back at the end of every pass. A reversible plate drives forward, backward and compacts on the spot, which halves the walking and makes the machine usable in a trench where there is no room to turn around.

The BTPC160H puts 27 kN (6,070 lbs) of centrifugal force through a 700 x 430 mm plate at 90 Hz — 5,400 vibrations per minute. That combination of high frequency and moderate force is what settles granular material: sand, gravel, road base and paver bedding compact by particle rearrangement, and fast, controlled blows do that without pushing the material out from under the plate.

Direction is controlled by a hydraulic mechanism, not a mechanical linkage — one lever, and the machine goes where you point it. Power is a Honda GX200, recoil start. At 168 kg (370 lbs) it is a two-person lift or a one-person job with the integrated transport wheels.

Specifications

Honest notes. Weight: this machine is widely advertised as "330 lbs." Beton Trowel publishes 160 kg net and 168 kg operating, which is 353 and 370 lbs — 330 matches neither, and at least one major retailer's own page body contradicts its own title on this. We publish both factory figures. Water tank: the factory's brochure calls it an option, its product page says "yes," and the machine manual lists a water tank assembly as an optional part — so we list it as an option and confirm it on every order rather than promising it. Horsepower is Beton Trowel's gross rating; Honda's net rating for the GX200 is 5.6 HP. Crated shipping weight is not published by anyone — what some sites label "shipping weight" for this machine is actually the factory operating weight, one row out of place. Model code: the factory's reversible brochure prints "BRPC160H" in one table; the manual, the factory product page and every retailer say BTPC160H. It is the same machine.
