The Hydra Buddy HBHR280GX is the recoil-start version of Brave's workhorse portable power pack — same 2,000 PSI at 5.5 GPM output as the electric-start model, 20 lbs lighter, and several hundred dollars less. If your crew does not mind a pull start, this is the value pick of the entire line.
The Honda GX270 commercial engine drives a two-stage pump into an ISO-standard coupler set, so hydraulic breakers, saws, chain saws, pumps and impact wrenches from any manufacturer connect without adapters. At 155 lbs it is the lightest professional-grade unit Brave builds, which is the difference between a two-man lift and a machine you have to winch.
Built in the United States. The Hydra Buddy roll frame carries integrated lift points so the unit can be moved by hand truck, lifted by two people into a truck bed, or picked by a crane off the top bar — the reason this frame has stayed in the line essentially unchanged for years.
