The Edwards HAT1000 is a 10 ton hydraulic tube and pipe bender built for fabrication shops that bend round tube, Schedule 40 pipe and square tube up to 180°. It is a PowerLink hydraulic tool, so it runs from an Edwards Ironworker with the PowerLink System or an Edwards Portable Power Unit, which is sold separately.
It handles 2 in. Schedule 40 pipe, 2-1/2 in. OD round tube and 2 in. OD square tube with a 1-3/4 in. ram and a 14 in. stroke. Edwards lists 3-1/2 GPM hydraulic flow, 2,750 PSI valve pressure and more than 300 standard dies.
Horizontal or vertical bending
The bender runs in either position, with positive stops at 0° and 90°, so you can set it up for the part in front of you.
Repeatable bend angles
A degree wheel and proximity sensor help you hit the same bend angle on every part in a run.

Edwards tube and pipe bender questions
What powers this bender?
It needs an Edwards Ironworker with the PowerLink System (hydraulic accessory package) or an Edwards Portable Power Unit. Edwards' manual names the 5 HP, 3,000 PSI Porta-Power as the portable option and does not recommend other power sources.
What sizes can it bend?
Edwards lists 2 in. Schedule 40 pipe, 2-1/2 in. OD round tube and 2 in. OD square tube, up to 180°.
Are bender dies included?
Edwards does not list dies as included with the bender. It offers over 300 standard dies, and its manual directs die set orders through an Edwards distributor.
