Edwards HAT8000 60 Ton Hydraulic Shop Press, Press Only (No Power Unit), 12-1/4 in. Stroke
The Edwards HAT8000 is a 60 ton hydraulic shop press for pressing bearings, bending metal and straightening parts. This is the press only: it has no motor of its own and runs from an Edwards Ironworker equipped with the PowerLink System or from an Edwards Portable Power Unit, either sold separately.
The rolling 60 ton cylinder has a 4 in. ram and a 12-1/4 in. stroke, working over a 39-1/4 x 42 in. table. The open-sided frame is built from 1/2 in. steel and measures 48 x 54 x 86 in.
Plug-in hydraulic connection
20 ft quick-connect hoses link the press to the ironworker or power unit, and an electric foot pedal with integrated jog control runs the ram.
Adjustable work table
Table height is set with hydraulic assist, using the lift chains and bracket supplied with the press.

Edwards shop press questions
What powers the HAT8000?
The press has no motor of its own. It runs from an Edwards Ironworker with the PowerLink System or from an Edwards Portable Power Unit, connected with the 20 ft quick-connect hoses. Edwards lists its Portable Power Unit as 5 hp and 3000 psi. If you need a complete package, the HAT8010, HAT8020 and HAT8030 include a power unit.
What comes with the press?
The manual lists a standard press cup, two V-blocks, four leveling and attachment brackets, and lift chains for the table. The power source and the press brake tooling set are not included.
Can it bend sheet and flat stock?
Yes, with Edwards' optional press brake tooling. The manual rates the brake tooling at 10 ga. x 32 in., 1/4 x 24 in. and 3/8 x 6 in. flat stock, up to 90 degrees.
Is there a PLC version?
Yes. Edwards also offers this 60 ton press with Programmable Logic Control (PLC) as the HAT8050.
What is the warranty?
