Edwards HAT8050 60 Ton Hydraulic Shop Press with PLC, Press Only (No Power Unit)
The Edwards HAT8050 is a 60 ton hydraulic shop press with a Programmable Logic Control (PLC), built for pressing bearings, bending metal and straightening parts. This is the press only: it runs from an Edwards Ironworker with the PowerLink System or from an Edwards Portable Power Unit, either sold separately.
The rolling 60 ton cylinder has a 4 in. ram and a 12-1/4 in. stroke over a 39-1/4 x 42 in. work table. The press measures 48 x 54 x 86 in.
Programmable control
The PLC lets the operator set ram extend and retract positions across the full 0 to 12.250 in. stroke and a pressure set-point from 100 to 3000 psi, in manual or semi-automatic modes.
Magnetic control box
The PLC control box is magnetic and can be mounted anywhere on the press.

Edwards shop press questions
What powers the HAT8050?
The press has no motor of its own. It runs from an Edwards Ironworker with the PowerLink System or from an Edwards Portable Power Unit, which Edwards lists as 5 hp and 3000 psi. For a complete package, the HAT8060, HAT8070 and HAT8080 include a power unit.
What does the PLC do?
It sets ram extend and retract positions between 0 and 12.250 in., holds a pressure set-point from 100 to 3000 psi, shows the active hydraulic pressure, and runs in manual or semi-automatic modes with English or metric units.
What comes with the press?
The manual lists a standard press cup, two V-blocks and four leveling and attachment brackets, and Edwards includes the table lift chains and bracket. The power source and the press brake tooling set are not included.
What is the warranty?
1 year (Edwards); hydraulic components carry their manufacturer's warranty.
