JET GHD-20PFT 20-Inch Gear Head Tapping Drill Press with Power Downfeed, 2 HP, 230V 3Ph
The JET GHD-20PFT is a 20-inch geared head drill press with power downfeed and tapping, powered by a 2 HP two-speed TEFC motor on 230V three phase. A Low/Off/High switch and the gearbox give 12 spindle speeds from 60 to 3,000 RPM.
It drills 1-1/4 inch in mild steel and 1-1/2 inch in cast iron. The MT-3 spindle sits in a 3-inch quill with 4-1/2 inches of manual travel, or 4-1/4 inches under power feed.
Power Downfeed
Three feed rates, 0.004, 0.007 and 0.010, take the quill down at a steady rate, with a depth stop to end the cut.
Tapping with Auto Reverse
In tapping mode the spindle reverses automatically when it reaches the lower limit switch. A reverse switch and emergency stop are on the control panel.
