The JET JWDS-1836 is an open-end drum sander that sands boards up to 18 inches wide in one pass and 36 inches in two, with a 5 x 18-inch drum turning 1,725 RPM on a 1-3/4 HP 115V motor.
It takes stock up to 3 inches thick and as thin as 1/32 inch, with a variable conveyor from 0 to 10 FPM. This kit includes JET's open stand.
SandSmart Control
The SandSmart controller watches the load on the drum motor and slows the conveyor automatically to keep the fastest feed without bogging down; a red light warns when the cut is too deep or the feed too fast.
Easy Setup
Each turn of the height handle moves the drum 1/16 inch, read on a depth scale, and ceramic Trackers reduce conveyor belt tracking adjustments.
