The JET VBS-1813VS-DC is an 18-inch vertical bandsaw with a 1 HP brushless DC (BLDC) variable speed drive that plugs into 115V single phase. Blade speed adjusts from 90 to 1,600 FPM with a digital readout, so you can dial in the right speed for steel, aluminum or non-metals.
It has an 18-inch throat and 12.9 inches of cutting height (11.8 inches when using the laser). The 19.68 x 21.25 inch table tilts 45 degrees right and 15 degrees left at a 33.26-inch working height.
Built-In Blade Repair Station
A resistance butt welder butt-welds and anneals blades 0.118 to 0.625 inch wide, up to 0.032 inch thick, and a grinder dresses the weld. You can make blades from coil stock, repair a broken one, and re-weld a blade you've cut to make an internal contour cut.
Laser, Light and Safety
A laser line guide marks the cut and an LED lamp lights the table. Door limit switches keep the saw from starting with a wheel door open, and a blade break sensor stops it if the blade breaks.
