JET VBS-18MWEVS 18-Inch Metal/Wood Variable Speed Bandsaw, 2 HP, 230V 1Ph
The JET VBS-18MWEVS is an 18-inch bandsaw that cuts both metal and wood. Its 2 HP totally enclosed, fan-cooled motor is run by an inverter from 230V single-phase power, so blade speed is variable: 100 to 650 SFPM for metal and 540 to 3,600 SFPM for wood.
It resaws 16 inches tall with an 18-inch throat. The ground cast iron table measures 27-1/4 x 20 inches, tilts 5 degrees left and 45 degrees right, and sits 37 inches from the floor. Ball bearing blade guides and cast iron wheels with polyurethane tires carry 150-inch blades from 1/8 to 1-1/4 inch wide.
Two Blades Included
A 3/4-inch, 6 TPI wood blade comes installed, and a 3/4-inch, 8 TPI metal blade ships with the saw.
Fence and Miter Gauge
An extruded aluminum resaw fence and a miter gauge that angles 45 degrees left and right are included. Two 4-inch dust ports connect to a collector of at least 400 CFM.
