MechMaxx PB4812 48" Heavy Duty Manual Pan and Box Brake - 12 Gauge, 135°
The MechMaxx PB4812 is a heavy-duty manual pan and box brake with a 48 in. (1,220 mm) bending length. It bends mild steel up to 12 gauge (2.5 mm) across the full width, from 0 to 135°.
Removable finger dies let you form boxes, pans and channels as well as straight bends. Clamping is set by hand with dual handwheels, and dual counterweights help lift the bending leaf.
Removable Finger Dies
Pull out individual finger dies to clear the flanges already bent on a box or pan, then refit them for the next part.
Trussed, Counterweighted Frame
A fully trussed welded steel frame with counter-balanced dual hammers keeps the beams straight on 12 gauge bends.

MechMaxx PB4812 questions
Does the PB4812 need power?
No. The PB4812 is a manual brake: you clamp with the handwheels and bend with the operating handles. There is nothing to wire up.
How thick a sheet can it bend?
Up to 12 gauge (2.5 mm) mild steel across the full 48 in. width. MechMaxx rates that capacity on hot-rolled mild steel with a tensile strength up to 250 MPa.
How is it installed?
MechMaxx says to lift it off the pallet with a forklift or overhead hoist, anchor it to a level concrete floor with anchor bolts, and leave 36 in. (915 mm) of clearance on all sides.
How heavy is it to receive?
MechMaxx lists the gross weight at 1,201.52 lb (545 kg), so it arrives by freight. Plan for a forklift or hoist to unload and set it.
What is the warranty?
MechMaxx covers the PB4812 with a 1-year warranty on the machine and lifetime technical support by phone or email.
