Powermatic 60C 8-Inch Jointer, Straight Knife, 2 HP, 230V 1Ph
The Powermatic 60C is an 8-inch jointer on a cabinet stand, with 73 inches of table and a 2 HP, 230V single-phase motor. The cutterhead runs at 7,000 RPM with three straight knives for 21,000 cuts per minute.
The infeed and outfeed tables ride on dovetailed ways, and the infeed table is set with a height adjustment handle and depth-of-cut scale.
Straight-Knife Cutterhead
Three 8-inch straight knives give a clean, traditional cut, and a knife-setting gauge is included. It also cuts rabbets up to 1/2 inch.
Fence and Controls
The 38 x 4-3/4 inch fence tilts with a handwheel-driven worm gear and has positive stops at 45 forward, 90 and 45 backward, with a non-mar insert. Magnetic push blocks store on the machine, and the switch mounts on a switch arm.

Powermatic jointer questions
Can it run on 115V?
No. The single-phase 60-series jointer is factory wired for 230V. Powermatic recommends a dedicated circuit of at least 20 amps.
How deep can it cut?
Up to 1/8 inch per pass. Rabbets can be cut up to 1/2 inch.
How long are the tables?
73 inches overall: the infeed table is 35-1/4 inches and the outfeed table 35-1/2 inches.
What warranty does it carry?
Powermatic covers it with its 5-year warranty (2 years for commercial or industrial use).
