Powermatic PM1500T ArmorGlide 15-Inch Band Saw, 3 HP, 230V 1Ph

The Powermatic PM1500T is a 15-inch band saw with a 3 HP, 230V single-phase motor and 15-inch cast iron wheels. It resaws boards up to 14 inches tall and has a 14-1/2 inch throat.

A foot brake stops the blade in about three to four seconds, and a three-position quick-tension lever has a full-release setting for blade changes.

ArmorGlide Table

The cast iron table carries Powermatic’s ArmorGlide coating, which cuts friction so stock feeds more smoothly and resists rust, so the table needs less upkeep.

Guides and Tension

Ball-bearing blade guides above and below the table, plus thrust bearings, keep the blade steady. A tension handwheel with a scale sets tension for the blade width.

Safety Built In

A magnetic safety key controls start and stop, and an interlock keeps the saw from running unless the blade is at full tension.
