Powermatic PM2415B 24-Inch Band Saw, 5 HP, 230V 1Ph
The Powermatic PM2415B is a 24-inch industrial band saw with a steel enclosed cabinet, cast iron trunnion, cast iron wheels and a 5 HP 230V 1Ph motor. It resaws stock up to 15 inches tall and has a 24-inch throat.
Two blade speeds (2,500 / 4,800 SFPM), a foot brake and an aluminum resaw fence with a resaw pin make it well suited to resawing and curve work.
Tension and Safety
A quick-tension lever has full and partial tension positions, and a handwheel with a scale sets tension for the blade width. An interlock keeps the saw from starting when the blade is detensioned, the motor shuts off if a blade breaks, and a magnetic safety key sits on the switch.
Table and Fence
The 24 x 34 inch cast iron table tilts 45 degrees right and 10 left. The extruded aluminum resaw fence and resaw pin handle resaw setups.
