Thirty-six inches is the size most concrete contractors actually own. It covers a two-car garage, a basement slab, a patio or a shop floor without the weight, the price or the trailer space of a 46 in. machine — and it still fits through a standard doorway, which the 46 will not.
Blade speed runs 117–167 rpm on a Honda GX200. That range is the whole job: low speed with the blades flat for the first panning pass while the slab is green, higher speed with the blades pitched for the burnish. A machine locked at one speed forces you to compromise one end of the finish or the other.
It takes either combination blades or finishing blades, so the same machine can float and finish. For interior work, garage floors and residential pours, this is the trowel that does not leave you wishing you had bought a different one.
